Yoga forme teachers are all certified to teach yoga

yoga forme teachers are educated in a variety of mindful and sustainable asana (movement), pranayama (breath) and meditation (mindfulness) practices.

It is your teachers goal to make your yoga practice safe, varietal, educational, and nourishing on a physical, emotional and energetic level.

I started a regular yoga practice, as recovery to a body out of balance after finding that I had Coeliac Disease in 2000.  It was exciting to find that as I practiced more regularly, within me was this fantastic ability to change and create change.

My family are changing with me!  With the encouragement from my husband Russell – I decided to attend teacher training at the Byron Yoga Centre in Byron Bay Australia in 2012  … now I am an experience Registered Yoga Teacher (eRYT500) with Yoga Alliance and am registered to offer continuing education to teachers of teachers (RYCEP).

I am constantly in awe of my life journey and thankful every day that I get to work at something I love.  _/|\_ Melissa

How I found yoga …I started yoga in 2013, after my family and I moved from Auckland to Wanganui.  At the time, I was like a lot of Mum’s with young ones, sleep deprived and often physically and mentally drained trying to ‘do it all’.

Yoga (and the sanctuary that is yoga from) provided me some much needed ‘me’ time and a way to restore and re-balance my body and mind.  While at first I found it quite different to the more high impact-like sport that had been a big part of my life, there was always something about that post-class feeling of bliss that left me wanting more.

I feel honoured to join the yoga forme team and share what I love about yoga from this uplifting, purpose-build space over looking the Wanganui River

Namaste, Simone. x
